OzFDM ASA-CF Filament
OzFDM's ASA-CF (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate + Carbon Fibre) combines the outdoor durability of ASA with the added strength and rigidity of carbon fibre reinforcement. Designed for high performance parts that need to withstand harsh environments, ASA-CF delivers excellent UV temperature resistance while maintaining shape and dimensional accuracy over time. The carbon fibre infusion not only boosts stiffness but also reduces warping and shrinkage, resulting in clean, professional prints with a refined matte finish that hides layer lines. Perfect for functional components, automotive parts, industrial tools and prototypes, or end use applications, ASA-CF offers the strength, precision, and visual appeal needed for demanding real world projects required to last.

Precision and power wrapped in a carbon fibre sheen.
Sleek. Strong. ASA-CF.
Our ASA-CF is available in a single, deep black shade that highlights its carbon fibre reinforcement and sleek matte texture. The overall finish gives printed parts a professional, engineered look that hides layer lines and resists fading over time, making it the perfect filament and shade for any of your project needs, required for either indoors or outdoors.

Disclaimer on Colour Accuracy: The filament colour displayed above has been specified using online hex code sources and may vary slightly from the actual physical product due to differences in screen calibration, lighting, and digital representation. Please note that this colour range is subject to refinement once our Nix Mini 3 Colour Sensor arrives, allowing us to assess and scan each filament shade in person for greater accuracy.

Equip your AMS setup to handle ASA-CF’s strength and abrasion.
AMS Compatible – Print With the Right Gear
Printing ASA-CF with the Bambu Lab AMS is possible, but it requires the right setup and precautions due to the filament’s abrasive carbon fibre content. It is recommended to use the standard AMS (not AMS Lite), along with a hardened steel nozzle, ideally 0.6 mm, as 0.2 mm nozzles are not compatible. ASA-CF performs best in stable, consistent conditions, so using an enclosed printer is essential, and the filament should always be dried thoroughly before use. Although it may add a little time, these small adjustments help prevent print issues and improve overall reliability.
ASA-CF also releases fumes during printing, so air filtration is strongly recommended for comfort and safety. While some brands label ASA-CF as “AMS friendly,” its abrasive nature can wear down brass nozzles and even the AMS funnel over time. The material is also more brittle than standard ASA, so handle spools and printed parts with care. With the right hardware and preparation, ASA-CF can deliver excellent performance through AMS setups while protecting your equipment.
Carbon fibre toughness and ASA stability for dependable and quality results.
The Power of ASA-CF
Built for Demanding Environments
ASA-CF brings together the strength of carbon fibre and the reliability of ASA to deliver exceptional performance in harsh outdoor or industrial conditions.
The filament offers impressive UV and heat resistance, ensuring parts stay dimensionally accurate even after extended exposure to sunlight or fluctuating temperatures.
Its carbon fibre reinforcement reduces warping and shrinkage, allowing you to print large, functional components with confidence.
The smooth matte finish adds a refined, professional look that hides layer lines and elevates every model’s appearance. It is engineered for users who value both toughness and a clean aesthetic finish.
Durability without the Compromise
The carbon fibre infusion gives ASA-CF its signature stiffness and strength, ideal for parts that need to endure stress or mechanical loads.
Despite its rigidity, the material maintains excellent layer adhesion and minimal distortion throughout the print process. It is perfect for high performance prototypes, brackets, and fixtures that demand both precision and durability.
Due to ASA-CF being an abrasive material, a hardened steel nozzle and enclosed printer are essential, which can add to initial equipment costs but ensure a more reliable printing experience.
With proper drying and correct setup, ASA-CF provides dependable results while protecting your printer from unnecessary wear.
Made for Real World Performance
From automotive panels, outdoor housings, functional prototypes, industrial tools, sporting and utility gear, ASA-CF is built for tasks where standard materials such as PLA, PETG, or ABS often fall short.
PLA may soften under heat, PETG can lose rigidity outdoors, and ABS tends to warp or yellow under UV exposure.
ASA-CF is a filament that functions with stability under sunlight and varying temperatures making it a popular choice for engineers and makers who want prototypes and models that they can depend on for a long time.
Our ASA-CF combines strength, weather resistance, clean matte texture and a sleek black shade, giving your prints a professional edge, ready to function and impress straight off the build plate.

Drying recommendation:
80°C for a minimum of 5 hours using a filament dryer / food dehydrator.
Storage recommendation:
Airtight bag or container with desiccant in a cool, dark and dry area to prevent moisture absorption. For optimal long term storage we recommend drying the filament prior to sealing the filament spool in a vacuum bag with desiccant.
Biodegradable under commercial composting conditions. Please do not throw into your compost bin at home.
