Bambu Lab A1 Mini

The Bambu Lab A1 mini brings Bambu Lab's automatic calibration and optional AMS lite multi-colour printing to a compact, open-frame machine. It is one of the simplest ways into 3D printing with PLA, PETG and TPU.

About the A1 mini

The A1 mini is Bambu Lab's smallest printer: a compact bed-slinger with automatic calibration, a direct drive extruder with quick-swap nozzles, and support for one AMS lite, which feeds up to four colours into a print.

The 180 × 180 × 180 mm build volume suits most hobby and home projects. On a bed-slinger the print head moves left and right while the bed moves front to back, which is mechanically simple but makes tall, thin prints more prone to ringing at high speed. Bambu Lab's vibration compensation reduces this for most models.

The A1 mini handles PLA Basic, PLA+, Silk PLA, Matte PLA and PETG well. Bambu Lab lists PLA, PETG, TPU and their support materials as suitable and does not recommend enclosing the A1 mini, so ABS and polycarbonate are off the list. The 80°C bed is also well below what those materials need.

The AMS lite comes with the A1 mini Combo or can be added later. For multi-colour miniatures, keyrings and signs it is an easy way to start without a larger machine.
