Getting real value from a 3D printing filament sale

A discounted roll is only a bargain if it prints the part you need on the printer you own. Sale items keep their full product pages, with print settings, colour options and, for many filaments, a downloadable technical data sheet, so make the same checks you would at full price. Specials rotate, so treat this page as a snapshot of what is discounted today rather than a fixed range.

Checklist before you add a sale item

Storing the rolls you stock up on

Buying ahead only makes sense if the filament stays dry until you use it. Leave new rolls in their packaging until needed, and keep opened rolls in a vacuum bag or airtight container with desiccant, somewhere cool and dark. If a roll has been left out, dry it at the temperature on its product page before printing. As a guide, PLA+ and most specialty PLAs dry at 40-45°C for 4-6 hours, PETG at 70°C for 5 hours, and ABS and ASA at 80°C for at least 5 hours. Our vacuum storage range has bags, pumps and desiccant.

How often do the specials change?

Specials change through the year with our seasonal sales, and items leave this page when their special ends. Rather than wait for a particular product to appear, check what is here when you are ready to order, and browse our full filament range or best sellers for everything else.

Can I combine sale prices with volume pricing?

Volume pricing covers 1kg filament rolls in any mix of colours and materials: 5% off 3 or more, 10% off 6 or more, 15% off 12 or more, and 20% off a full carton of 12 in one colour and material. Do not assume it applies on top of a sale price. Check the discounts shown in your cart before paying, or contact us if anything is unclear.

How do I know a sale filament will work on my printer?

Compare the nozzle and bed temperatures on the product page with your printer's limits, then check whether the material calls for an enclosure, a hardened nozzle or long drying. Carbon fibre blends need a hardened nozzle, and ABS or ASA print best enclosed, with good ventilation. If the settings are beyond your machine, the discount will not make up for failed prints.
