OzFDM ABS-GF Filament
ABS-GF is a high-strength engineering filament enhanced with glass fibre reinforcement for added stiffness and dimensional stability. It combines the reliability of ABS with improved rigidity and minimal shrinkage, making it ideal for parts that require accuracy under mechanical stress or fluctuating temperatures. This material performs exceptionally well in functional prototypes, automotive fixtures, and industrial components where strength, stability, and durability are essential.

Precision in Every Layer – ABS-GF Colour Range
ABS-GF is available in two practical shades: black and natural. The black finish offers a clean, professional look for functional parts and assemblies, while the natural tone allows for easy inspection, painting, or post-processing. Both shades highlight the fine texture and slightly matte surface created by the glass fibre blend, giving every print a professional and consistent appearance.

We do our best to ensure every colour is represented as accurately as possible. However, shades shown on screen, including their HEX codes, may differ slightly from the physical filament due to lighting conditions, screen calibration, and digital sampling tools.

Smart System Ready
Optimised for Enclosed and Controlled Printing
ABS-GF can be used with AMS units if spool dimensions are compatible, though manual loading is recommended for the most consistent feed. Due to its higher printing temperature and reinforced structure, ABS-GF performs best in enclosed printers that maintain even heat throughout the chamber. This ensures smoother extrusion and reduces the chance of fibre clumping or uneven feeding during longer prints.
Built to Endure
Engineered Strength That Holds Its Shape
ABS-GF is designed for applications that demand rigidity, accuracy, and long-term stability. The addition of glass fibre significantly increases stiffness and dimensional control, reducing warping and deformation under stress. This makes it ideal for mechanical parts, brackets, and load-bearing prototypes where precision and performance matter most.
Refined Finish, Reliable Form
The glass fibre infusion not only strengthens the material but also gives each print a refined matte surface that conceals layer lines and adds a professional finish. Despite its reinforced composition, ABS-GF maintains excellent adhesion between layers, resulting in tough, clean prints that are both visually consistent and structurally sound.
Performance Without Compromise
ABS-GF offers exceptional durability and heat resistance while remaining surprisingly workable. Its balanced composition allows for strong, lightweight parts that can withstand demanding environments. Whether used for functional prototypes or production-ready components, it delivers stability, detail, and reliability print after print.
ABS-GF Technical Specifications
As ABS-GF is part of our advanced engineering range, we are awaiting complete verified data from our manufacturing partners. Full specifications for mechanical, thermal, and physical performance will be added as testing is finalised. Preliminary results show excellent rigidity, minimal shrinkage, and a consistent matte surface finish that performs reliably under heat and stress.

Drying recommendation:
80°C for 5 hours using a filament dryer / food dehydrator.
Storage recommendation:
Airtight bag or container with desiccant in a cool, dark and dry area to prevent moisture absorption. For optimal long term storage we recommend drying the filament prior to sealing the filament spool in a vacuum bag with desiccant.
Biodegradable under commercial composting conditions. Please do not throw into your compost bin at home.
