OzFDM PLA Rainbow Filament
OzFDM PLA Rainbow brings movement, colour and individuality to every print. Each spool contains a gradual sequence of colours that transitions naturally as the filament is used, creating eye catching models with multiple shades from a single spool.
It is designed to keep the easy printing performance of PLA, with smooth extrusion, reliable bed adhesion, and consistent bonding between layers. The gradual colour changes add depth and visual interest without requiring manual filament swaps or complicated printing settings.
PLA Rainbow is ideal for vases, sculptures, decorative models, ornaments, gifts, articulated prints and larger projects where the changing colours have room to develop. Because the colour placement depends on the size and duration of the print, every finished model becomes completely unique.

Four Colourways. Endless Possibilities.
PLA Rainbow Filament - Colour Range
The OzFDM PLA Rainbow range is available in four distinctive colour combinations, each designed to create a different visual effect as the filament transitions throughout the print.
The range includes soft coordinating tones, bright tropical colours and sparkling rainbow transitions. New additions Crystal Sparkle Rainbow and Rainbow Corals provide even more creative possibilities, from reflective teal, gold, pink and purple to fresh coral, yellow and light green.
Colour placement will vary depending on the model size, infill, layer height and starting position of the filament, meaning no two prints will look exactly the same.

Ready for Automated Filament Systems
OzFDM PLA Rainbow is suitable for AMS systems, including Bambu Lab AMS and AMS Lite, provided the spool fits correctly and is loaded according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Its firm PLA structure supports reliable feeding and automated filament management.
As the changing colours are contained within one continuous strand, an AMS is not required to create the rainbow effect. The filament can be loaded and printed like a standard PLA spool, with the colour transition occurring naturally throughout the print.
Keep the filament dry and use an appropriate PLA profile for consistent results. A standard 0.4 mm nozzle or larger is recommended for Crystal Sparkle Rainbow due to its fine reflective particles. Bambu Lab lists PLA and PLA Sparkle as compatible with its AMS series.
Made to Flow. Designed to Stand Out.
Smooth Colour Transitions
Each spool contains carefully arranged colour sections that blend naturally as the filament is used.
These gradual transitions create flowing changes across the layers of a print, producing a dimensional finish without requiring manual filament changes.
The final colour placement depends on the size, shape and duration of the model, allowing each project to develop its own individual pattern.
Reliable PLA Performance
PLA Rainbow retains the dependable printing characteristics expected from quality PLA.
It offers smooth extrusion, reliable bed adhesion and consistent bonding between layers, helping reduce lifting, warping and failed prints.
Its approachable printing performance makes it suitable for beginners, experienced makers and professional users across a wide range of FDM printers.
Unique Results Every Time
The changing filament sequence means every model develops a different combination of colours.
Even when printing the same design more than once, variations in the starting point and filament usage can create a completely different finished appearance.
This makes PLA Rainbow ideal for decorative models, vases, sculptures, ornaments, gifts, articulated designs and statement pieces where individuality and visual impact matter.

Drying recommendation:
40°C – 45°C for 4–6 hours using a filament dryer / food dehydrator.
Storage recommendation:
Airtight bag or container with desiccant in a cool, dark and dry area to prevent moisture absorption. For optimal long term storage we recommend drying the filament prior to sealing the filament spool in a vacuum bag with desiccant.
Biodegradable under commercial composting conditions. Please do not throw into your compost bin at home.
