OzFDM PC-ABS 3D printing filament combines the strength and heat resistance of polycarbonate with the printability and toughness of ABS to create a versatile engineering grade material for demanding functional applications. Designed for high impact durability and improved thermal performance, PC-ABS offers excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to elevated temperatures compared to standard ABS materials.

OzFDM PC-ABS combines the heat resistance and strength of polycarbonate with the toughness and practical print performance of ABS. This balanced engineering blend produces durable parts capable of withstanding mechanical pressure, repeated use and elevated operating temperatures.

With a heat deflection temperature of 112°C at 0.45 MPa, PC-ABS is well suited to automotive components, protective housings, mechanical assemblies, workshop equipment and functional prototypes. Its excellent impact resistance helps printed parts absorb force without cracking or becoming excessively brittle.

PC-ABS gives functional parts a clean, professional finish while maintaining the performance expected from an engineering material. PC-ABS prints best in an enclosed printer with stable chamber temperatures, reliable bed adhesion and controlled cooling.

Three Essential Engineering Shades

PC-ABS Colour Range

The OzFDM PC-ABS range is available in three versatile shades: Black, White and Natural.

Black provides a clean and professional appearance suited to automotive parts, machinery and technical components. White offers a bright finish that makes printed details easy to inspect, while Natural provides a neutral appearance suited to prototypes and practical applications.

All three shades deliver the same dependable PC-ABS performance, allowing you to select the finish that best suits your project.

AMS Compatibility and Reliable Feeding

PC-ABS can be used with AMS systems that support both polycarbonate and ABS materials, provided the spool fits correctly. Its firm filament structure supports smooth feeding, controlled retraction and reliable automated material changes.

The three colour options can be combined for identification systems, detailed components and multicolour engineering projects. Non OzFDM filament profiles may need to be manually configured within your printer software.

AMS compatibility does not guarantee that the connected printer can process PC-ABS. Always confirm that your printer offers the required nozzle temperature, heated bed and enclosed printing environment before use.

Strength, Stability and Dependable Performance

Built for Heat, Impact and Everyday Performance

Stable Performance in Warmer Environments

PC-ABS offers a heat deflection temperature of 112°C at 0.45 MPa, allowing printed parts to maintain their shape in conditions where standard PLA and many general purpose materials may soften or deform.

This makes it suitable for automotive interiors, electronic housings, machinery components and workshop applications exposed to elevated temperatures.

Annealing the finished model at 100°C for one to three hours may further improve its strength and thermal stability.

Durable Parts That Withstand Regular Use

The polycarbonate component provides strength and impact resistance, while ABS contributes toughness and practical durability.

Together, they create parts that can absorb force, vibration and repeated handling without fracturing easily.

This combination is ideal for protective enclosures, brackets, fixtures, mechanical assemblies and functional prototypes.

PC-ABS provides dependable performance for parts that must remain strong throughout regular use.

A Clean, Professional Finish

PC-ABS prints with a smooth, even surface that suits technical parts and visible components alike.

Black, White and Natural cover the most common engineering finishes, from discreet housings to light coloured parts where details need to be easy to inspect.

It is an excellent option for projects that require engineering performance with a tidy, professional presentation.

Storage recommendation
Airtight bag or container with desiccant in a cool, dark and dry area to prevent moisture absorption. For optimal long term storage we recommend drying the filament prior to sealing the filament spool in a vacuum bag with desiccant.

After printing we recommend annealing the finished model at 100°C for 1~3 hours to increase strength of the model.
