Not bad option, but not perfect.

The vacuum bags are a good option for short to mid term storage. I find myself checking the vacuum(s) on the bagged rolls on my filament rack about once a week.

As with all mass produced items, there are a few that work better than others.

This is probably still the best budget option - airtight cereal containers are expensive and the next step up is a full on food vacuum sealer.

Vacuum Bag - Great for Filament AND Other Things

These work so well and damp filament prints so badly!
I can't imagine not having these bags available.
They also work REALLY well for my Coffee Beans and Fresh Bread
