Ideal for 3D printed cosplay parts, easily removed lids, and custom fridge magnets, the range of small round neodymium magnets from OzFDM are designed for seamless integration into your projects to provide extremely strong magnetic attraction with no added bulk, lightweight, and with easy installation by adding during a print, or glueing in place with super glue or epoxy.

Embed or Glue - Adding Magnets Is Easy For You

Unlike OzFDM's threaded brass heat inserts which are designed for stronger, semi-permanent attachment and require a soldering iron to install, our small neodymium magnets allow you to design snap-on, snap-off parts that are easily detached.

Simply pause a print to add a magnet to a pre-designed internal cavity, or design small circular recesses in your part and super glue the magnets.

How To Safely Work With Magnets

Whilst our small neodymium magnets have many possible uses, there are also a number of potential issues and possible dangers that can occur when working with strong magnets.

Please read below when working with the magnets to avoid costly mistakes.

Always check magnet polarity before embedding

Ensure all magnets face the same direction so your parts attract instead of repel.

You can mark one pole with a marker before inserting for easy alignment.

Avoid excessive heat to magnets during or after printing

High temperatures can reduce magnetic strength.

Let your 3D print cool completely before inserting magnets, and avoid printing directly over them.

Securely mount your magnets

For secure fits, use a compliant press fit or a drop of CA glue

This helps prevent magnets from shifting or working loose over time, especially in parts that are handled frequently.
Epoxy can also be used for extra hold.

Beware electronic devices near the magnets

Store magnets away from electronics or other sensitive components

Strong neodymium magnets can affect screens, memory cards, and other devices, so keep them safely separated when not in use.

Purchased based on other reviews, was expecting better considering the price, especially magnets being 10mm size, but these are about the same as generic ones available much cheaper elsewhere.

Will be ok to use for some fridge magnets/small magnetic labels but that's about it.

Small. Round. Magnetic.

They were everything I hoped for. Dimensionally accurate enough to fit the model they were intended for. Secure as a push fit but I gave them a dab of CA to keep them from pulling each other out, just in case.
