Inside it, an anatomical heart hangs mid air, wrapped in a starburst of fine radiating lines. The contrast is the whole point. Above the window, the shoulder carries a rough, chipped break, exactly where you would expect centuries of wear to have taken their toll. Below it, the torso settles back into smooth, flowing muscle. Sitting between the two textures, the heart glows in bold red, a very modern, very human detail dropped into an ancient form.
