Ganesha reclines like he has earned the rest, propped up on one elbow with his trunk curling down past a rounded belly and one leg kicked out behind him. The crown, ears and folded robe are all carved with real depth, and the oval base is finished with a neat beaded border, like a temple offering tray. Right where his shoulder meets the cushion of his arm, the design opens into a shallow dish, just big enough for a couple of rings, a set of keys or a pinch of loose change. It turns a purely decorative idol into something you actually reach for every day. We print him in PLA+, the material that holds fine sculptural detail best: the trunk's wrinkles, the folds in the dhoti and the studs on the crown all come through crisp, with a smooth, even surface across the belly and base.
