The Sakura pendant light started life as a pencil holder that its designer kept turning over in his hands, until the shape begged to be scaled up and lit from within. The result is a shade built from three intersecting circles that gradually shift as they wind around the form, so no two angles look quite the same. Seen from below, the overlapping rings resolve into a soft four petal flower silhouette framing the bulb, echoing the sakura blossom in its name. Each shade is 3D printed in a single continuous wall using vase mode, which is what gives the surface its delicate, papery ripple. Switch it on and the light glows warmly through that thin wall, catching on every ridge and seam where the circles cross, so the whole shade seems to shimmer rather than simply shine. Hang it low over a dining table for a real conversation piece, or in a reading nook where the dappled light falls across a chair and a favourite plant. It pairs beautifully with a simple cord and canopy kit of your choice, since every home wires its pendants a little differently.
