Disclaimer on Colour Accuracy: The filament colours displayed above have been specified using online hexcode sources and our Nix Mini 3 colour sensor, allowing us to assess and scan each filament shade in person for greater accuracy. Shades may vary slightly from the actual physical product due to differences in screen calibration, lighting, and digital representation.  

Flexible Filament, AMS Considerations

Designed to Print Smoothly, With a Few Limits

  • Flexible PLA can be used on Bambu Lab printers, however it is not recommended for use with the AMS system.
  • Due to the softer, more compressible nature of flexible filaments, feeding through the AMS can lead to inconsistent extrusion, slipping, or potential jams within the system.
  • For best results, we recommend printing Flexible PLA using a direct feed setup or external spool holder.
  • This ensures smooth filament flow, better control, and more reliable print performance.
  • When printed correctly, Flexible PLA delivers excellent flexibility, strong layer adhesion, and clean results, making it ideal for functional parts, wearables, and impact resistant designs.

Drying recommendation:

60°C for 6+ hours using a filament dryer / food dehydrator.

Storage recommendation:

Airtight bag or container with desiccant in a cool, dark and dry area to prevent moisture absorption. For optimal long term storage we recommend drying the filament prior to sealing the filament spool in a vacuum bag with desiccant.

Biodegradable under commercial composting conditions. Please do not throw into your compost bin at home.

Print Parameters

Printing at lower speeds with Flexible PLA compared to standard PLA allows the material to flow consistently without buckling or resistance in the feed path. With the right balance of temperature, retraction, and movement control, it produces clean layers and strong bonding. Dialling in slower, more controlled settings will give you the best results, especially for detailed or functional parts.

1.75 mm flexible PLA filament

This filament prints very easily on my MK3S+. Strong and flexible prints, with a deep colour. Just think about using a separation layer perhaps, as it adheres strongly to all the build plates that I have.
