OzFDM PLA-CF Filament
OzFDM PLA-CF is a premium carbon fibre reinforced PLA developed for strong, rigid and dimensionally accurate 3D printed parts. It combines the straightforward printing experience of PLA with added carbon fibre content, creating a material that feels more substantial and performs more reliably in functional applications.
The reinforced formula improves stiffness and helps printed parts maintain their shape under mechanical stress. It also supports excellent dimensional stability, reduced warping and clean detail across both small components and larger models.
PLA-CF produces a smooth matte surface that helps conceal layer lines and gives prints a refined, professional appearance. It is ideal for prototypes, brackets, housings, tools, fixtures, mechanical components and display models where strength and presentation are equally important.
A hardened steel nozzle is recommended because carbon fibre is abrasive and may cause additional wear to standard brass nozzles.

PLA-CF Colour Range - 8 Versatile Shades
The OzFDM PLA-CF range is available in eight carefully selected shades, offering versatile options for engineering parts, functional prototypes and professional display models.
Each shade features the distinctive matte texture associated with carbon fibre reinforced filament. The subtle surface finish reduces visible layer lines and creates consistent colour across detailed and functional prints.
Whether you prefer classic industrial tones or colours that make individual components easier to identify, the eight shade range provides flexibility without compromising the strong and refined appearance of PLA-CF.

AMS Compatibility: Reliable Feeding With the Correct Setup
OzFDM PLA-CF may be used with AMS systems when the spool fits correctly and the system is approved for abrasive materials. Because carbon fibre can cause additional wear to internal feeding components, users should always check their printer and AMS manufacturer recommendations before loading the filament.
Ensure the spool rotates freely and the filament path remains smooth. If feeding resistance or excessive wear is a concern, manual loading from an external spool holder may provide a more reliable option.
A hardened steel nozzle and wear resistant filament path are recommended for consistent long term printing.
Engineered for Professional Results
Reinforced for Functional Parts
Carbon fibre reinforcement increases stiffness and helps printed components resist bending and deformation.
This makes PLA-CF an excellent option for brackets, fixtures, housings, prototypes and other parts requiring greater structural stability than standard PLA.
Cleaner Details and Reduced Layer Lines
The carbon fibre texture creates a refined matte surface that helps conceal layer lines and minor surface imperfections.
Printed parts have a clean and professional appearance without requiring extensive finishing or post processing.
Accurate and Consistent Printing
PLA-CF offers excellent dimensional stability with reduced warping and dependable layer adhesion.
It supports accurate geometries, sharp details and consistent results across functional models, engineering components and larger prints.
Whether you’re prototyping, teaching, or printing in shared spaces, PLA+ ensures a smooth, sustainable workflow that’s comfortable, reliable, and better for you — and the planet.

Drying recommendation:
40°C – 45°C for 4–6 hours using a filament dryer / food dehydrator.
Storage recommendation:
Airtight bag or container with desiccant in a cool, dark and dry area to prevent moisture absorption. For optimal long term storage we recommend drying the filament prior to sealing the filament spool in a vacuum bag with desiccant.
Biodegradable under commercial composting conditions. Please do not throw into your compost bin at home.
