PETG Basic handles more heat than PLA, with a 74 °C heat deflection temperature against 53 °C for our PLAs. It suits brackets, clips and parts that sit somewhere warm. |

PETG bonds very strongly to smooth PEI. Print on the textured or satin sheet, or wipe glue stick on the smooth sheet as a release layer. |

PLA works as a support interface for PETG, a pairing Prusa has tested. Load PLA in a second toolhead and choose it as the support material/raft interface extruder in PrusaSlicer. |

Multi-tool: Prusa's default minimal purge for non-PLA materials is 35 mm³. Damp PETG leaks from a parked, preheated nozzle, so dry the roll and leave Ooze prevention on. |

Slicer: PrusaSlicer with the Prusa XL printer profile and a 0.4 mm nozzle. Dry the filament at 70 °C for 5 h before a long print; every figure above assumes dry filament. |

Troubleshooting |
|
Stringing and popping sounds while printing: Moisture. Dry at 70 °C for 5 hours and store the roll with desiccant afterwards. |

Prints pull chips out of the sheet: Use glue stick as a release layer on smooth PEI, or switch to the textured sheet. Let the bed cool fully before removing the part. |

Blobs on the part after a tool change: Dry the filament, check that Ooze prevention is on, and raise the minimal purge on the wipe tower in 10 mm³ steps. |
