PLA Basic comes on a thinner standard spool. It feeds well from the external spool holder, but for the AMS we suggest moving it onto an AMS-compatible reusable spool first for consistent feeding. |
|
|
The H2D sets its chamber fans and top vent by filament type, so keep a PLA preset selected and leave chamber heating off. Bambu Lab warns that a hot chamber can soften PLA in the extruder and cause clogs. |
|
|
Load PETG in the second hotend and use it as the support interface. PLA and PETG do not bond to each other, so supports peel away cleanly. |
|
|
Like all PLA, PLA Basic has a heat deflection temperature of 53 °C. Keep finished parts out of hot cars and direct summer sun. |
|
|
Slicer: Bambu Studio. Start from the Generic PLA filament preset and set the temperatures above. Every figure assumes dry filament, so dry at 50 °C for 5 h before a long print. |

Troubleshooting |
|
Stringing between parts: Check the filament is dry, then drop the nozzle to 205 °C. Only raise retraction once those two are ruled out. |
|
Corners lifting on large flat parts: Wash the plate with warm water and dish soap to remove fingerprints, then raise the bed to 60 °C and slow the first layer to 20 mm/s. |
|
Soft or drooping overhangs: Confirm the part cooling fan is at 100 % and lower the nozzle to 205 °C. |
