Gas Tank Portable Storage Box

Every desk has a drawer of chaos: stray SD cards, spare screws, the earbuds that never made it back to their case. This little gas tank rounds them all up. Modelled on the classic jerry can, complete with an embossed X panel and chunky bevelled corners, it is equal parts organiser and conversation starter. Open the printed clip and the box hinges flat like a clamshell, so you can see everything at a glance. Corner pockets take optional 4 mm magnets for a crisp snap close, or you can run the friction fit on its own. The hinge pin is a short length of 1.75 mm filament, simple, durable and replaceable for pennies. Our favourite touch is the lid. The neck is modelled around a standard water bottle cap, so you can screw on a cap rescued from the recycling and give the tank a custom colour hit. The blue cap on the yellow tank in our photos started life on a water bottle. Each box is 3D printed to order in PLA+ here in Australia, with a clip loop that hooks onto backpacks, belts and keyrings. Pick a colour that suits you, from workshop yellow to sky blue, and give your small stuff a home worth showing off.
