Tuned to F# Major, it plays a full major scale with nothing more than your breath and your fingers. Every Octo Tune is 3D printed in one solid piece in PLA+, printed flat on the bed with the finger holes facing down so no supports are needed inside the airway. That means clean, unobstructed holes and a smooth bore straight off the printer, ready to play with a light sand if you like a silkier feel under your fingertips. There is no fussy embouchure to master here. Blow across the mouthpiece the way you would a penny whistle or Irish whistle, then open the seven finger holes one by one starting from the far end until every hole is uncovered. Blow a little harder on any note and you jump the octave, so one small instrument covers a surprising amount of musical ground. It is a genuinely fun way to introduce a child to their first scale, a novelty instrument for a muso mate, or a curious desk toy for anyone who likes tinkering with sound.
