OzFDM's PPS-CF Filament

OzFDM PPS-CF is an advanced engineering filament designed for parts exposed to extreme heat, sustained mechanical loads and demanding chemical environments. It combines a high performance PPS base with carbon fibre reinforcement to deliver exceptional rigidity, strength and dimensional stability.

Its ability to retain mechanical performance at elevated temperatures makes it suitable for automotive components, industrial tooling, electrical housings, production fixtures, mechanical assemblies and functional parts used near motors or heated equipment.

The carbon fibre reinforcement reduces shrinkage and improves structural stability, helping complex parts maintain accurate dimensions and clean geometry. PPS-CF requires an enclosed printer capable of reaching the recommended temperatures, along with a hardened steel nozzle to manage its abrasive composition.

Purpose Built in Black

PPS-CF Colour Range

The OzFDM PPS-CF range is available exclusively in Black, reflecting the material’s professional and industrial purpose.

The deep carbon black finish creates a clean technical appearance while helping conceal layer lines, minor surface marks and signs of regular handling. It is well suited to engineering components, automotive parts, fixtures and production applications where performance and consistency are the priority.

Direct Feed Recommended

PPS-CF and AMS Compatibility

PPS-CF is not recommended for use with AMS or AMS Lite systems. Its rigid carbon fibre reinforcement can increase wear on internal feeding components and may not travel reliably through the extended filament path.

For the most dependable results, feed PPS-CF directly from an external spool holder or sealed dry box into the printer. This creates a shorter and more controlled filament path while reducing unnecessary stress on automated feeding components.

Always use a hardened steel nozzle and confirm that your printer can safely reach the required nozzle, bed and chamber temperatures before printing.

Engineered for Extreme Conditions

Maintains Performance at Elevated Temperatures

PPS-CF is designed for applications where standard filaments may soften, deform or lose strength.

Its high temperature performance allows printed components to maintain their shape and mechanical properties in heated industrial and mechanical environments.

This makes it suitable for parts positioned near motors, machinery, electronics and other sources of sustained heat.

Its resistance to thermal deformation supports reliable performance across demanding functional applications.

Built for Harsh Operating Environments

The PPS base provides strong resistance to many fuels, oils, solvents, acids and industrial chemicals.

This allows printed components to perform in environments where exposure to aggressive substances could weaken or damage less resistant materials.

PPS-CF is well suited to automotive components, fluid handling fixtures, chemical processing equipment and protective housings.

Its low moisture absorption also supports consistent dimensions and mechanical performance in changing environmental conditions.

Accurate Parts Under Sustained Load

Carbon fibre reinforcement significantly improves stiffness and helps reduce shrinkage and unwanted movement during printing.

The result is strong, precise components that retain their geometry under mechanical stress and elevated temperatures.

This stability makes PPS-CF ideal for jigs, fixtures, brackets, structural components and production parts that require accurate dimensions and tight tolerances.

Its resistance to creep also helps components maintain their shape when placed under continuous pressure or load.
