This 3D printed monkey figure sits back on his haunches with both arms stretched straight overhead, gripping the underside of a slim rectangular shelf like he has been showing off all afternoon. Printed in PLA+ with a raw finish, the fine layer lines read almost like woodgrain across his face and shoulders, picking out the eyes, ears and even the little wrinkle at his chin. This is a sculpture first and a shelf second. The clever two piece design keeps installation simple: mount the wall bracket first, then slide the monkey figure down over it. The hardware disappears completely, leaving a clean flat shelf on top for a stack of books, a favourite jar or a small plant.
