Thread forming screws are designed for plastic. Model a plain hole, drive the screw in, and it forms a tight thread as it goes. No soldering iron, no inserts and no tap, which makes them ideal for quick assemblies, prototypes and parts you won't take apart often.
No Inserts Needed
Skip the heat set insert step entirely. The screw forms its own thread in PLA, PETG, ABS and other printed plastics.
