TPU 95A is a Shore 95A flexible filament that stretches 800 – 1000 % before breaking, with a 95 °C heat deflection temperature. Use it for dampers, gaskets, couplings and protective cases. |

Loading on the XL: Prusa publishes a Flex Filament bypass for the XL that skips the side filament sensor and eases soft filament into the toolhead. Disable the filament sensor while it is fitted. |

Slow is the whole trick. Prusa's flexible filament guide gives 20 mm/s as typical and 30 – 40 mm/s as the maximum, and OzFDM rates TPU 95A from 30 mm/s, so we print it at 30 mm/s. |

Multi-tool: Prusa suggests raising the minimal purge on the wipe tower as high as 70 mm³ for TPU, which strings readily once it has absorbed moisture. TPU and PLA can share a job for rigid parts with flexible sections. |

Slicer: PrusaSlicer with the Prusa XL printer profile and a 0.4 mm nozzle. Dry the filament at 70 °C for ≥ 5 h before a long print; every figure above assumes dry filament. |

Troubleshooting |

Filament buckles or stops feeding: Slow down, loosen the extruder idler so the gears push the filament gently, and fit the flex filament bypass. |

Stringing and blobs: Dry at 70 °C for at least 5 hours, shorten or turn off retraction, and raise the wipe tower purge toward 70 mm³. |
|
Parts fused to a smooth or satin sheet: Apply glue stick as a separation layer, or print on the textured powder-coated sheet, which needs none. |
