Status, September 2026: Discontinued. Bambu Lab ended P1P manufacturing and sales on 10 February 2026 and points buyers to the P1S, which stays in production, and the newer P2S. Bambu Lab lists firmware bug fixes and feature updates until 14 November 2027, security patches until 14 November 2029, and spare parts and support until 10 February 2031.
The P1P is Bambu Lab's open-frame CoreXY printer: the same fast motion system and AMS compatibility as the P1S, without the enclosure. It suits PLA, PETG and TPU, and owners who plan to add an enclosure later.

About the P1P
The P1P shares its CoreXY motion system, 300°C hotend and automatic calibration with the P1S, but ships without side panels, a door or a lid. That kept the price down while keeping the speed for materials that do not need a warm chamber.
For PLA+, PETG, Silk PLA and Matte PLA the open frame is no disadvantage. The 256 mm build volume handles most household and functional parts, and the AMS adds multi-colour and multi-material printing from up to four spools per unit.
The P1P was designed with printable side panels, and Bambu Lab released an official P1P to P1S upgrade kit with a glass top, front door, panels, an activated carbon filter and extra cooling fans. That makes an enclosure a realistic upgrade if you want to print ABS or ASA later.
Like the P1S, the P1P ships with a stainless steel nozzle, and Bambu Lab does not recommend carbon or glass fibre filaments until the extruder and hotend are upgraded to hardened parts. If you already own a P1P it remains a capable PLA and PETG machine. If you are buying new, look at the P1S or P2S.
